HOW IT WORKS

VIKING Solna Herbicide is a combination of a contact and systemic herbicide for broadleaf weed control. Carfentrazone (group 14) inhibits the protoporphyrinogen oxidase (PPO) enzyme, which results in cell membrane destruction and necrosis, while 2,4-D ester (group 4) mimics the plant growth regulator indol-3-acetic acid (auxin), interfering with cell enlargement and division in susceptible plants. Symptoms appear very rapidly with leaves of weeds taking on a water-soaked appearance, followed by wilting and necrosis. Complete death occurs within a few days depending on growing conditions.
